It's that time of year again when Andrea's sheep are using the grazing rights that she has on the moors around the farm. This means that every couple of days she needs to walk the moors and check that nothing is ill or stuck, etc. It's impossible to count the sheep reliably in moorland terrain, so it's more a case of checking the ditches, ponds and fences to make sure that nothing is stuck, and then just watching the flock for any animal that does not look well. Of course walking across a boggy moor, checking ditches and ponds brings both challenges and opportunities. It's the opportunities that Andrea likes best . She's dressed in a pair of white show jodhpurs, with a full rubber seat, a new white waterproof fleece, and a brand new pair of black and red Musto wellies that she really loves. Now everyone knows that all new boots have to be "Christened" inside and out , and so she feels duty bound to oblige. Then, with boots full of muddy water, perhaps she should do likewise and "baptise" the jods and jacket?

I'm not convinced that white was the best choice of colour for checking the sheep.
